I liked him.

He would run like a train up the wing, get in to a great position and then consistently screw up the cross because he never got his head up...

Frustrating to watch but likeable none the less.

I wish him well

Good article.

I always liked Faubert.

Agree - and his assist for the goal against Millwall is one of the best ever

Not what I mean Rudd - I meant some have said 'he was ok/shit before his injury'

He didn't play for us before his injury

He was fucking gash. Up there with our worst signings, given the fee at the time.

Re: Julien FAUBERT - 'If I could have finished my career at West Ham, I would have'
I saw him before he got injured, against Dagenham & Redbridge, and in fairness, he looked a prospect, although it was against Dagenham & Redbridge. He never hit those dizzy heights again.

Re: Julien FAUBERT - 'If I could have finished my career at West Ham, I would have'
Anyone commenting I. How good he was/wasn't for us before his injury needs to pipe down. He got injured in preseason before playing a competitive game for us!

It was a surprise in France that he came to us, he was highly rated. The injury seemed to knock a yard off his pace and I always think it's tough for players who rely on speed to adapt when they lose some of it.

He was never as good as we'd hoped, but was unlikely to be after the injury. But I never had a problem with him, and he showed some glimpses of his ability - wasn't it his run and cross for plans diving header at Everton?

He did well in our promotion season and for that we should thank him, but never really cut in the PL.

Not a good signing, but we've had far worse!

Sorry Julien, maybe injury robbed you of your best form, but you were woeful.

Somebody else said 99% of crosses went into the stand. Actually, it was 99% up the defender's backside. Thanks and good luck.

He was a terrible player, £6.5m was a hell of a lot of money for us back then.

Re: Julien Faubert - 'If I could have finished my career at West Ham, I would have'
After a great rearguard action one time at the arse Faubeet managed to undo all the good work of the previous 88 minutes by turning his back on a cross from Clichy & we lost 1-0 .

I'm not buying any of this Faubert is a cult hero crap.

He was AWFUL.

Worst crosser of a ball I've ever seen. 99/100 used to go in the fucking stand. Has everyone forgotten that?

Re: Julien FAUBERT - 'If I could have finished my career at West Ham, I would have'
Don't think he actually had to mention his relationship with Juan Ramonde saw his playing time reduced at Real.

I mean, you are the manager, Robben or Faubert?

Re: Julien FAUBERT - 'If I could have finished my career at West Ham, I would have'
I always will remember him taking the millwall keeper out when Winston smashed it in
